Taiwan Scholarship Program
The purpose of Taiwan Scholarship Program is to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree program in Taiwan. If you intend to apply, please read the Taiwan Scholarship Program Guideline first.
The Application Period: from February 1 ~ March31
Application Documents:a. Taiwan Scholarship Application Form
b. A copy of applicant’s passport and national certificates. c. A copy of the highest-level diploma and a complete grade transcript. If issued by international educational institutions, these documents must be authenticated by a Taiwan overseas Representative Office. d. A copy of admission application materials to universities/colleges in Taiwan (e.g., copies of application fee remittance, application form, receipt of application from universities/colleges, e-mails, ). e. A copy of a language proficiency certificate: A copy of results or certificate for the “Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language” (TOCFL) Basic or above. For applications to all-English programs, a copy of TOEFL test scores or other recognized English language proficiency exams or degrees awarded in English must be submitted. English-speaking nationals are exempt from this rule. f. Two letters of reference, signed and sealed in envelopes (i.e. from the principals, professors, or supervisors). Photo copies and email submissions of letters of recommendation will not be considered.
Amount of Scholarship:
Subsistence allowance: a monthly stipend of NT$15,000 (approximately US$500) for undergraduate study; and NT$20,000 (approximately US$666) for postgraduate study. Tuition and payment of academic fees: the Ministry of Education awards each recipient per semester up to NT$40,000, if the total amount exceed NT$40,000, the remainder of the cost should be covered by the recipient or the recipient’s college. The recipients should pay: the admistration fees, thesis advising fees, insurance premiums, accommodation and internet access.
Duration Award:a. Undergraduate program: maximum 4 years.
b. Master’s program: maximum 2 years. c. Doctoral program: maximum 4 years. d. Maximum Duration of Combination of Awards : 5 years.

Beasiswa Taiwan
Tata Cara Pengajuan Beasiswa Taiwan tahun 2012:
Periode Pengajuan:Setiap tahun mulai dari 1 Februari s/d 31 Maret 2012.
Dokumen Pendukung:a. 1 set Surat Pengajuan Beasiswa.
b. 1 lembar Foto Kopi Paspor dan Akte Lahir. c. 1 lembar Foto Kopi Ijasah Terakhir dan Transkip Nilai. Jika kedua dokumen tersebut dikeluarkan oleh instansi pendidikan Internasional, harus dilegalisir oleh Kantor Perwakilan Taiwan setempat. d. 1 lembar Foto Kopi Surat Pendaftaran ke Universitas di Taiwan ( bisa juga berupa bukti transfer pendaftaran, Formulir pendaftaran, Surat penerimaan dari Universitas ). e. 1 lembar Foto Kopi Sertifikat Bahasa 1 lembar Foto Kopi Sertifikat “Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language” (TOCFL ) minimal tingkat dasar. Bagi calon mahasiswa yang mengambil jurusan dengan bahasa Inggris sebagai pengantar, diharuskan melampirkan 1 lembar Foto Kopi tes TOEFL minimal dengan nilai 550 atau sertifikat tes bahasa Inggris lainnya. f. 2 lembar surat referensi ditanda tangan dan tertutup dalam amplop ( contoh bisa dari Rektor, Dekan atau professor ). Foto Kopi atau surat dalam bentuk email tidak akan dipertimbangkan.
Besar Beasiswa yang diberikan :
-Tunjangan Biaya Hidup : Untuk S1 akan diberikan sebesar NT$ 15.000,- ( setara USD$ 500 ) Untuk S2 dan S3 akan diberikan sebesar NT$ 20.000,- ( setara USD$ 666 ) - Biaya Kuliah dan biaya akademis lainnya : Menteri Pendidikan Taiwan akan memberikan sebesar NT$ 40.000,-/semester untuk setiap mahasiswa, apabila total biaya yang dibutuhkan lebih dari jumlah tersebut, selisih biaya harus dibayarkan oleh penerima beasiswa atau oleh universitas tujuan. - Penerima Beasiswa diharuskan untuk membayar sendiri biaya : Biaya administrasi, biaya dalam rangka pembuatan thesis, biaya asuransi, akomodasi dan koneksi internet.
Jangka Waktu pemberian Beasiswa :
a. Untuk S1 maksimal 4 tahun. b. Untuk S2 maksimal 2 tahun. c. Untuk S3 maksimal 4 tahun d. Total beasiswa untuk semua program 5 tahun.
Calon mahasiswa diharuskan untuk mendaftar sendiri ke universitas tujuan ( List universitas terdapat pada lampiran di bawah ).
Pengumuman Beasiswa :TETO akan mengumumkan daftar penerima Beasiswa ini di website TETO ( www.roc-taiwan.org/ID )
